Welcome to the Unity of Birmingham Youth Education Department where we are delighted to provide a spiritual environment for all of our children. We realize that each child is a unique expression of God’s Joy created in the image and likeness of Holy Light. It is our desire to provide a positive, safe and loving space where each child can connect with their peers while learning Unity principles. Unity based curriculum is presented to each different age level and during circle time children are encouraged to participate in prayer, meditation, and creative expression. We invite you to learn more about our Youth Ed. programs by visiting us on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m. downstairs in Artie’s Place.

We're here, and then we're gone
(no one really knows...)
Born of the sun and rain
And the Earth where we arose.
So, how do we live this moment?
How will our lives express?
In the face of great pain and loss

Well, that's how Artie lived...

Artie knew how to make you laugh
He never looked for blame
And I believe everyone he touched
Will tell you much the same
And 'tho Artie had to leave us.
And through all the tears we've cried,
I know in my heart of hearts
That Artie never died.
You see, love's the gift we give
And that's how Artie lives

So, how will you live this moment?
Will you fill it with regret?
Or will you see the light of love
In the face of all you've met?

Time leads us far away
"Grace will lead us home..."
Peace comes when we release
Everything we thought we owned
So now as my heart surrenders,
Remember me as I am
Let my life be a candle
That's shining in the sand-
With all the love we give-

Unity of Birmingham Youth Ed Vision Statement

The Unity of Birmingham Youth Education Department desires to provide enlightened leadership to our children and inspire vibrant new levels of participation in the universal awakening of the Christ Spirit Within through prayer, support, education and play. We value Unity principles, our metaphysical foundation, and peaceful and compassionate communication that leads to the individual transformation of all ages, life styles and cultures.

Children's Version of the 5 Basic Unity Principles:

God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.
I am naturally good because God's Divinity is in me and in everyone.
I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.
Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.
I do and give my best by living the Truth I know. I make a difference!
