A Unity Chaplain is :

Someone who is here to support you on your spiritual journey.
Someone who will create and hold a sacred space with you.
Someone who will listen to you and hold what is heard in strict confidence.
Someone who will pray with you.

Our Mission

The Mission of Unity of Birmingham is to provide a healing center of light in which one can grow in awareness of the Christ potential inherent in each of us.

As Unity of Birmingham grows, the continued expansion of one such group, our Chaplain Team, will serve to meet the need of our extended community.

Our chaplains will pray with you at any time and are available every Sunday following the morning service. The chaplain prayer line is available 24 hrs a day, 205-251-4365. Monthly wellness calls will be made upon your request, or you can contact us through email to Mary Ann Wise, Coordinator at MMWise@bellsouth.net.

Our 2006 dedicated and devoted chaplains are Evelyn McDonald, coordinator; MaryAnn Wise, coordinator; Jim Cottle, Elizabeth Elgin, Herbert Gooden, Rashelle Townsend, Suzanne Russell, Joan Tufts, and Mike Wise.
