1. God is good
God, Divine Mind, is absolute good and everywhere present. What is called "evil" is a limited or incomplete expression of God or good. Evil's origin is ignorance.

2. People are good
Since humans are made in the image of God, they have a spark of divinity within them and therefore are inherently good also.

3. Thoughts create experiences
We create our life experiences through our way of thinking. Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thoughts.

4. Prayer is connection
Jesus' teaching was based on prayer, which to Him was conscious communion with God. Prayer is creative thinking that brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity and everything good.

5. Action is needed
Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough. We must live them.

Our Purpose

The purpose of Unity of Birmingham is to teach and practice the Truth principles as taught by Jesus Christ and to provide a safe haven of unconditional love for everyone.

Our Mission

The mission of Unity of Birmingham is to provide a healing center of light in which one can grow in the awareness of the Christ potential inherent in each of us. In the spirit of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, co-founders of Unity, we combine the truth teachings of all ages with the technologies of this modern age to effect a balance in all areas of life -- spiritual, mental, physical, social, emotional and financial. We achieve a permanent sense of well-being through the activity of prayer and meditation, and we utilize modern and ancient technology in healing ourselves and our planet.

We are a universal ministry of light, open to the inspiration and guidance of Holy Spirit. We recognize God as the only presence and power. We have no limitations and we utilize the truth teachings of our Wayshower, Jesus Christ, in overcoming the challenges of life.
